~ limited space ~

This course is a space for the plant people. The medicine folks. The curious hearts who feel the pull to (re)connect with the plants and (re)member to the old ways — while also learning clear, replicable skills that bring confidence, depth, and joy into the practice of herbal medicine making.

Over the course of ten months, you’ll deepen significantly into a wide spectrum of herbal preparations, from tinctures to teas, oils to oxymels, flower essences to smoke medicine. This is for anyone ready to truly root into the craft, whether to enhance your herbal business, grow your skills as a caregiver, or become the medicine person for your home and community.

This course is all about making the most potent, viable, and accessible herbal medicines, and doing so in a way that’s empowering, easy to follow, and repeatable again and again. You’ll learn how to make, dose, and use herbal remedies, as well as how to connect to the energetic and spiritual layers of medicine making.

We’ll explore how to work with what you have :: whether that’s herbs in your backyard, forest edge, or a neighbor’s garden , and how to craft medicine in rhythm with the seasons, in connection with the land, and in tune with your intuition.

You’ll also dive into the history, folklore, and science behind the medicines you’re creating , exploring the cross-cultural lineages of herbalism and tracing your own ancestral threads. We’ll honor both the practical and the mystical, the clinical and the intuitive, and hold space for deepening your relationship with the plants and your own purpose.

Alongside monthly live classes, you’ll be held in a supportive community space where you can ask questions, receive feedback, and connect with fellow journeyers.

Join me on this journey into the art and essence of medicine making.

“I have sat with Callie in at least three of her in person classes. Her breadth of wisdom and the way she delivers information has helped shaped my plant path immensely. I feel so much confident as a medicine maker because of her teachings.” ~ Lexi R.

"Callie's teaching didn't just deepen my understanding of plant medicine-it transformed the way I relate to the natural world and to myself. I walked away with practical skills, a stronger sense of purpose, and the confidence to share my own medicine. Her guidance is both mystical and grounded, and it truly changed my life."

~ Rosie M.

This class (Journey with Rose) is deeply personal, full of wisdom, magic and vulnerability. I can tell Callie put an incredible amount of time and effort into how the class was organized. You will get your moneys worth a million times over. The wisdom I learned is something I’ll be able to carry with me throughout my life, and I feel deeply grateful for the time we all invested in not only rose, but ourselves and each other. “Journey with rose” is indeed a journey; it’s a coming home to ourselves and nature. I 1000% recommend this class!

Caroline B

Callie's class was so incredible. From the box of supplies and rose medicines (which I use every day!), to the depth of wisdom for the spirit, history and lore of the plants, and of course the medicine making teachings-all were above and beyond! I learned so much and felt so much. She is an incredible teacher,, and I look forward to all of her future offerings!

Jessica L.

Meet your Instructor

This course is taught by long-time bioregional herbalist Callie North, who has been practicing and studying herbalism for more than 15 years. Callie’s greatest joy and passion is in crafting medicine — a love that has shaped her life and anchored her business, Northsea Apothecary, located on Lopez Island in the Pacific Northwest (opened in 2016).

Her specialty lies in creating potent, accessible, and practical herbal medicines — the kind that anyone can learn to make and confidently use. She has studied with many teachers over the years, but much of her wisdom has been honed through trial, error, intuition, and repetition — walking the path of the medicine maker day after day, season after season.

Callie has been teaching herbal medicine for many years. She especially loves teaching at ancestral skills gatherings where she and her family spend time each year.
